DRUMMING AT YOUR PLACE - VALUE OF RHYTHM

Would a group drumming event benefit your organization?
Why would anyone in their right mind want to spend money to hire someone to encourage their people to bang on things and make a bunch of noise? That’s the look I get when I suggest that organizations might like to hire me to facilitate a program for their company, church, senior center, school, etc. The fact is, you’re not investing in a facilitator of rhythmic experiences. You’re not even investing in drumming. You’re investing in the power of human beings to take an active and meaningful role in their own creativity, health, and well-being. Never mind the fact that synaptically speaking, drumming connects both the right brain and the left brain to stimulate Alpha and Beta waves that create balance and a meditative state! (Yes, you must get out of your right mind!) Forget the notion that group drumming promotes a sense of belonging because participants are immersed in a shared experience! Disregard the scientific evidence demonstrating that drumming reduces stress and develops cells that boost the immune system! Quite simply, nurturing and support enable people to move past their perceived boundaries in a way that engages them so that we can boost their confidence and make them more effective members of the team, the company, the community. When we engage people in their own processes, fears will diminish and quality of life will most certainly improve. In a life otherwise filled with an expectation that everyone tow the line without making waves, empowering people to find their own way is the key to effecting positive change. Drumming is a lifestyle enhancement tool. What’s interesting is that you don’t even need to own a drum in order to tap into the benefits of rhythm. By observing, mimicking, and surfing the patterns of life around us, we are able to ride that synergistic wave and to discover new realms of possibility simply because we’ve opened the door and created a safe space in which to explore. How can you put a price on that? Call me... I’ll tell you how.
