Heartbeats for Haiti a huge success!

Friday, April 23rd marked a wonderful occasion at St. Augustine's College.  Annelies' class project was to bring the campus together in a fundraiser to benefit the St. Joseph's Home for Boys in Port au Prince, Haiti, part of the Hearts with Haiti Foundation based here in Raleigh.  Annelies spawned the idea at the start of the semester and the class agreed to donate proceeds to help my friend Bill Nathan's orpahange.  Students, staff, faculty, and administration came together to remember family and friends in Haiti, to learn a bit about the island's history and culture, and to celebrate through song and dance.  

DRUM for CHANGE and the Conduit Center for Creative Change were proud to spearhead the event.  Click below to see a few photos....
