Cool weather, cool music, cool happenings are here!  Fall has always been a magical season for me, and this year is no different.  Great things are happening in my world - cool stuff is coming out of the woodwork in support of my vision for Drum For Change.  Annelies is reactivating her artwork now that she has finished her degree AND she's making another trip to the Caribbean.  Raleigh Drum Circle turns nine years old.  Classes are awesome....

Get out there and get your drum on at SparkCon this weekend!  Last night's fire conclave was spectacular!  There's something rhythmic happening downtown each day of the event.

Wanna get groovy AND support a great cause?  I could use some help drumming on Sunday from 2-3:30pm at the 300 block of Hillsborough St here in Raleigh for the Magnificent Mile Race to support the battle against Motor Neuron Disease.   Call me!  919-696-0883!

Monday marks the celebration of the ninth anniversary of the founding of the Raleigh Drum Circle!  I never imagined how that first gathering of a dozen people would turn my life upside down and backwards!  Please join me on Monday, September 19 at Lake Johnson Park.  We're kicking it off at 6pm with a potluck dinner followed by a great showcase of local percussion-based performers, and topping it off with an after-dark drum jam!  $5/person or $10/family, including a raffle ticket for some great door prizes!

My conga class this month has been great fun!  It's packed and we're making some seriously rocking music!  In fact, I'll be offering a repeat of this six-week series that will start on Thursday, October 20th.  Enrollment is open and space is limited, so email me if you'd like to register:   This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
